I am curious how the wives of inmates explain his absence to people who ask. My family is not supportive of me sticking with my husband through his incarceration. I never know what to say without being rude.

My fiance' has been telling me that if he has to go to prison that he has to go to something called diagnostics. Could someone please explain what this is to me? He said we would not be able to talk for a few months while he was there. Thank you all for your help and God bless you.
